Chepkong’a, who is the Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs, for the convenience of the House, given that this area has been covered by the Election Laws (Amendment) (No.3) Bill and although a total of 14 Members have contributed, there is no harm in allowing the Committee time to receive more views from other Kenyans who may not be Members of Parliament. Other segments of the Kenyan society should be allowed to contribute to this law with a view to enriching what finally comes out. The intention of the Bill is to enrich the Elections Act, 2010. For the convenience of the House and the reasons stated, we will stand down business appearing as Order No.11 to such other date as the House Business Committee (HBC) shall determine."
