Standing Order No.45(3) says:- “A Senator who wishes to seek leave to raise a matter under paragraph 2(a) or (b) shall, before 1.00 p.m. on the day on which the Statement is proposed to be made, hand to the Speaker a written notification of the matter, but the Speaker may refuse to allow the request unless satisfied that the matter may properly be discussed in the Senate.” So, all you need is to show me that there is such a written notification then I will allow you to seek the statement."
