    "content": "Since Independence, Kenya has built roads which are substandard. That is unfortunate. The roads which are being constructed do not last long, because the contractors do not put the right input. Roads are repaired in Nairobi every season, but they do not take care of the drainage. There is no proper planning and maintenance. Building a road is one thing and maintaining it is another thing altogether. I come from northern Kenya. We have a huge region which has been neglected for far too long. This is because no roads have been constructed in northern Kenya for the last 50 years."
