    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker for giving me an opportunity to support this Motion. It is a very important Motion for this country. I do not know why it has taken a long time to come to the Floor of the House. Kenya is an agricultural and livestock farming country. It is also a major producer of cash crops that need to be marketed outside this country. It is important for us to have this Protocol, so that we can look for markets. Farmers in this country are hard working, but we lack markets. In most cases, we are too confined to markets in the country and in our neighbouring countries. Our farmers have never been exposed to outside markets. When this Motion is passed, our farmers will enjoy markets outside the country where they can make maximum profits. A lot of our produce is damaged by insects which we do not know where they originate. I urge my colleagues in the House to support this Motion, so that it becomes a Bill as quickly as possible. I support the Motion."
