    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker, for giving me the opportunity to support this Motion. The basic reason I support it is that it is politics that have made East Africa to have several countries, but East Africa is one unit. For many years before Independence, we lived as one people even with different Governments. We had the same university, railway, harbours and road network. We had the same currency, the same medical research institution, the same maritime research institution and the same airline, but we split them. It is time we went back and the efforts that are coming to that direction are always supported. The second reason I support the Ratification of the East African Community Protocol on Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures is because it is basically talking about health. The word “phytosanitary” sounds very strange, but “phylum” is just about plants. So, phytosanitary is just The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
