"content": " Hon. Senators, I have a Message from the National Assembly on the approval of the County Allocation of Revenue Bill (Senate Bill No.3 of 2016). I wish to report to the Senate that pursuant to Standing Order No.40(3) and (4), I received the following Message from the Speaker of the National Assembly regarding the approval by the Assembly of the County Allocation of Revenue Bill (Senate Bill No.3 of 2016). I quote:- “Pursuant to the provisions of Standing Orders No.41(1) and 142 of the National Assembly Standing Orders, I hereby convey the following Message from the National Assembly:- Whereas the County Allocation of Revenue Bill (Senate Bill No.3 of 2016) was published vide Kenya Gazette Supplement No.51 of 18th April, 2016 as a Bill concerning county governments to provide for equitable allocation of revenue raised nationally among the county governments for the 2016/2017 Financial Year and the responsibilities of the national and county governments pursuant to such allocation; Whereas the said Bill was passed by the Senate on Tuesday, 7th June, 2016 and referred to the National Assembly for consideration and; Whereas the National Assembly by resolution made on Tuesday, 28th June, 2016 approved the Bill without amendments and in the form passed by the Senate; Now, therefore, in accordance with the provisions of Article 110 of the Constitution and Standing Order No.41(1) and 142 of the National Assembly Standing Orders, I hereby convey the said decision of the National Assembly to the Senate.” The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposes only.
