    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to give notice of the following Motion:- THAT, noting that according to the Kenya Integrated Household Budget Survey (KIHBS) of 2005/2006 it was estimated that 17.5 million people, or an equivalent of 46 per cent of the Kenyan population live in absolute poverty and on less than one dollar a day; aware that the Government has been unable to provide them with free medical facilities to ease their burden and conscious that many families have had bodies of their loved ones not released for burials in various public and private morgues for lack of money to clear various fees and charges; further mindful that every Kenyan family would wish to accord their departed a decent burial at a place of their choice; this House urges the Government to waive mortuary fees in all public hospitals for bodies claimed within 21 days and those not claimed become a subject of disposal by the hospital authorities in accordance with law."
