"content": "The father of the civil society in America, Martin Luther King Junior, a priest and a humanitarian, once said that “our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter”. I want to thank all those people who never remained silent because matters of elections are important in any democratic society. He also said that “the ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands in times of challenge and controversy”. We cannot walk this journey alone. All Kenyans are looking at this. We must remove sideshows, be honest and trust each other. We do not want to bring in some funny amendments that will have different implications like the one brought by Hon. Washiali.
