    "content": "Now therefore in accordance with the provisions of Rule 9 of the Houses of Parliament Joint Sitting Rules, I hereby convey the said decision of the National Assembly to the Senate. Hon. Senators, you may recall that the Senate passed a similar Motion last evening. Earlier today, I have communicated the resolution of the Senate to the Speaker of the National Assembly. The effect of this now is that the Houses of Parliament have resolved to establish a Joint Select Committee to look into matters relating to the IEBC, the electoral laws and processes as per the terms of the Motion. The Joint Select Committee needs to move with speed to conclude on its mandate and report to Parliament within 30 days. Thank you."
