    "content": "(c) by inserting the following new sub-clause immediately after sub-clause (4) – (5) The Advisory Committee shall, in co-opting members to sit in the Committee, ensure that the persons co-opted have the necessary knowledge and experience in the matters under consideration by the Committee. The Committee proposes to amend sub-clause (2) of Clause 12 of the Bill to include in the composition of the Advisory Committee, a person nominated by the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KPSA) and who is competent and has capacity to deal with matters related to the petroleum sector. This is in view of the fact that matters within the purview of the Advisory Committee affect both the public and the private sectors. Hence, it will be important to have a representative from the private sector to advise and give perspective on the impact of any recommendation that may be made with respect to the petroleum sector."
