I would like to seek a Ministerial Statement from the Minister for Foreign Affairs regarding the attempted forceful entry of supporters of President Laurent Gbagbo to the United Nations Headquarters in Abidjan, where the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kenya was to hold a mediation meeting. The Minister should assure the country. We know the Prime Minister is one of the principals of the Republic of Kenya. The Minister or the Government should assure the country of the safety of the Prime Minister in view of the unfortunate incident in Abidjan."
