    "content": "Recently, this country adopted a new Constitution, which guarantees fundamental rights. Food is a basic necessity. If you look at the hierarchy of needs, from a psychological perspective, food is the most important requirement for human life. This is one thing that must be guaranteed. There is scarcity of this item now. We have heard different statements attributed to different officials of the Government. It is a reality that the drought situation in northern Kenya is not the creation of the media. I want to put this straight. Drought is real. People are dying. We have already lost thousands of livestock. Women, children and the elderly are in danger as a result of malnutrition and hunger- induced diseases. This is a reality that the Government must accept."
