Speaker, I am moving this Motion on behalf of the HBC, as earlier alluded to by the Leader of the Majority Party, following lengthy discussions that were made in our meeting on Tuesday evening this week. On that day, it was noted that while the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee has duly concluded its work as required by Article 251 of the Constitution and the Standing Orders, there is no going back. However, a perception has been created that proceeding with this Motion now may jeopardise the work of the Joint Select Committee on matters relating to IEBC."
