"content": "contained in the Report, we do not have that money in the Budget. So, I request the Departmental Committee on Environment and Natural Resources to ensure that they provide this money. There is even a law which states that all persons who have suffered as a result of this conflict be compensated. We do not want people to be forced to go to court because we know that when they go to court, it takes a long time for the disputes to be settled. So, I ask the Committee to be serious in ensuring that the reports that they bring to this House are implemented so that our women do not fail to go to the farms because of fear of elephants and children do not fail to go to school because of fear of being attacked by wildlife animals. I also beg the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) to ensure that they undertake the mandate they have of protecting our people."
