    "content": "Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. Let me start by thanking Hon. Injendi Malulu for bringing this Motion. We have village elders across the country who have been recognised from the colonial days and they have been working for this country. They are involved in dispute resolution in our villages which involve families. They also resolve cases of violence within families. They are also involved in resolution of disputes involving boundaries. They are recognised even in the eyes of the law for what they do and are consulted even by tribunals. At times, they even testify in court in matters where they have been involved in resolution of disputes over boundaries. Hon.
