    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this chance to contribute on this Motion. Those elders are very important people. They have been doing their work since the time of colonialists in this country. I remember before I came to this House that a Motion like this was brought during the 10th Parliament by Hon. Eugene Wamalwa. Sometimes, we take a lot of time contributing on Motions like this one but the implementation does not happen. The village elders, with the work that they do in this country, are very important to us as a nation. They deserve not only to be recognised, but also, at least, to get some payment, so that they can feel that they are part of workers of this country. More so, those people work under the Office of the President. To me, as a House, we need to pass this Motion without any question because it was deliberated in the 10th Parliament and we are doing it now."
