    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. From the outset, I would like to thank Hon. Injendi Malulu for bringing this Motion. I need to mention one thing, I am aware that most of the intelligence that we receive is from village elders. That intelligence is used at the national and county levels. It is immoral to allocate duties to mature people who have families to feed and children to take to school and yet, they are not paid. The village elders in our areas participate in almost all activities from funerals, public rallies and gathering intelligence reports. When there are criminal activities, they are always called upon to help. It is important that those people are paid. I urge this Government to take this matter seriously."
