    "content": "This legislation ensures that there is due process in the approval of appointments at the county assembly. It also sets out the timelines within which the county assemblies must approve the appointments when referred to them by the appointing authority, which in this case is the governor of that particular county. It sets out very clear timelines as it is in our Standing Orders and in the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) Act which governs approvals in this House. It also sets out a very clear road map when a person is rejected by the county assembly. To bring back that person for re-vetting, it has to be through a certain process. It sets out the situations in which a person can be brought back for vetting; that is if certain facts that existed at that time were not true. It sets out what needs to be done."
