Sometimes we look at the qualification of a person, but we also need to look at the suitability of that particular person, so that we know if he is fit to serve in the position he is being vetted for. This is the major work of MCAs. The vetting committees of county assemblies will look at the procedure of appointment, constitutional requirements and suitability of candidates. These are the three fundamental things which are needed in any appointment to a position. Constitutional requirements and suitability of a candidate are very important."
