    "content": "Hon. Speaker, allow me to support the Warehouse Receipts System Bill. Presently, our warehousing system is not proper. It is a system that is devoid of professionalism. It is also a system that is not accountable. It is outdated. This Bill will create systems and ensure that once a produce has been harvested, the warehousing is professionalised. It will also create systems to ensure that farmers do not lose their produce, like it is happening in this country. Agriculture contributes about two-thirds of all employment opportunities in this country. We are still a small-scale agricultural society. We are yet to convert into a large-scale agricultural society. I strongly believe that for a country to move forward, we need to entice people to turn into large-scale farming. I will give a good example of a country like Britain where about 15 per cent of its citizens are farmers.
