    "content": "Under Article 241 of our Constitution, the KDF is responsible for the defence and protection of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic. Under the same Article, it is said that the composition of the KDF shall reflect the regional and ethnic diversity of the people of Kenya. The KDF is the last line of defence in protecting the sovereignty of the Republic. For anything to do with the Kenya Defence Forces in terms of command control, administration and in military jurisprudence there should be no ambiguity in terms of how the generals; the military side of defence, and civilian side of defence headed by the Cabinet Secretary should function."
