    "content": "The third clause I propose we recheck is Clause 33 of the Bill. It proposes to amend Section 249 (7) of the principal Act to address the ambiguity as to when a resignation is approved and takes effect. Allow me to read Section 249 (7) as provided for in Clause 33 of this Bill:- “An officer or service member may by notice in writing to the Service Commander or Defence Council as applicable request to be discharged from service or resign his or her commission and the Service Commander or Defence Council, as the case may be, shall determine the request and communicate the decision within reasonable time.”"
