    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me the opportunity. I also support, particularly the amendments on the Schedule dealing with genetic materials. Normally, people will think it is important to protect yourself in certain areas from exchange with external agencies. If we do that, we will lose out a bit. This is comparable to what we have agreed in the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property (TRIPS), where we agreed to a patent system while we do not have so much to protect in the area of patent. Countries like India declined to sign those TRIPS agreements until they had copied a lot. We have done a good thing to leave freedom, so that there can be lot of exchange.
