    "content": "There are two amendments to Clause 9 and we agree with both. The first amendment is going to be repeated in several other clauses where we are changing the title “Director-General of the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) to “Chief Conservator of Forests.” We agree with the Senate because as Hon. Ottichilo said, during the Second Reading, that title seems to be more widely used and preferred. If there is logging, we will hold him accountable for going against the title of his position. We also agree with the second amendment, but it is a bit controversial. They are proposing that one person nominated by the Council of Governors (CoG) replaces a representative of the civil society. We agree with them because we appreciate the fact that forestry is a shared function and the input of the CoG representative will be an advantage to this Board."
