    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. The Kenya Forest Service Act, 2005 had changed it to “Director-General”, but we feel that the “Chief Conservator of Forests” is a better title. It is the same way you do not call the Inspector-General of Police the “Director-General of the National Police Service”. That title connotes what exactly his position is. This man is supposed to be the head of an institution which is responsible for ensuring that we conserve our forests. By calling him the “Chief Conservator of Forests”, we have incorporated his responsibility in that title. We support that. Now that I am on the Floor, I want to note that I had only explained the two definitions which the Committee has agreed with. However, I did not explain the insertion under Clause 9(c) of a new subclause that gives very long conditions for being rejected to be a member of the Board.
