Members, in a nutshell, the Minister for Justice, National Cohesion and Constitutional Affairs is invoking Standing Order No.123 to move that he be allowed to withdraw the two Bills: The Judicial Service Bill and the Vetting of Judges and Magistrates Bill. According to the provisions of Standing Order No.123, being the hon. Member in charge of the two Bills, he is entitled to do that. But because we all know that this matter has come on the Order Paper as a result of an express request on the part of the Government for the House to convene for a special sitting, I will allow just three other hon. Members and, perhaps, the fourth, if the Attorney-General wants to speak to this before I make the final decision and give directions."
