    "content": "Hon. Speaker, I want to comment on this Petition particularly on the matter of the then principal of the college. In the course of the inquiry by the Committee, the then principal was promoted to the position of the Vice-Chancellor of Maseno University. Therefore, I presume that due diligence has been done on his conduct and his undertakings. Therefore, the recommendation that the matter surrounding his performance at the college be referred again to the EACC has been overtaken by events. For him to have been promoted to that very high position of Vice-Chancellor, all due diligence must have been done on him and he must have been found to be fit to hold that very high position. Thank you."
