    "content": "On the Petition by Hon. Muthomi Njuki, MP, regarding alleged grabbing of public land belonging to Chuka Township Primary School, Tharaka Nithi County, the petitioners prayed to the House that the Ministry of Land, Housing and Urban Development urgently fast-tracks issuance of title deeds to the Chuka Primary School and intervenes to ensure that the petitioners’ plight is addressed. The school does not have a title deed. The Ministry of Land, Housing and Urban Development had conducted a survey in June to confirm the boundaries of the school and established its acreage to be 4.996 acres; and the planned area as per the two plans was set aside for public institution. The school boarders Family Life Centre to the north - a private institution - a road to the south and Chuka Girls’ High school to the west. There is no dispute between the school and Chuka Girls. The Committee recommended that the NLC should allocate the land to the school and the Ministry of Land, Housing and Urban development issues a title deed for the school within 30 days. I cannot report how far that has gone but maybe, the Committee on Implementation can."
