Our Standing Orders provide for formation of Departmental Committees which are charged with the responsibility of addressing matters of national interest, like the one we are debating. I seek your guidance on this matter, which falls squarely under the Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security, why a matter which can be addressed by a Departmental Committee is taken over by a Select Committee? I want to hear your opinion and direction. What message are we sending to the Departmental Committees of this House?"
