"content": "The primary objective of the Financial Reporting Centre which had been created by this law in 2009 is to assist in the identification of the proceeds of crime, combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism. So, the Centre is supposed to monitor and do surveillance, on a 24-hour basis, on the movement of resources and money in all the financial institutions. This is from banks to FOREX bureaus, to Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) and in the stock exchange. That is a key function of the Financial Reporting Centre. On the other hand, what is the role of the Anti-Money Laundering Advisory Board which is a creation of this law? That board is supposed to advise on a daily basis the Director of the Financial Reporting Centre on the performance on what his powers are under this Act."
