    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. This proposed Bill has three important aspects. The first aspect is transnational bribery. The second aspect regards bribery within the private sector, and the third aspect is the re-balancing between the giver and taker of bribe. Let me start with transnational bribery. We are in a globalised society where you have huge transactions conducted by private citizens and states within and outside our boundaries. In fact, our boundaries are collapsing. Therefore, we need to have a law that captures the notion of bribery that takes place across our country. I am a Member of the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs. We discussed this Bill and ensured that we captured corruption that may cut across boundaries. Therefore, this is one of the key benefits of this new Bill."
