    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Speaker for giving me the opportunity to comment on this Petition. I would like to thank the Chair of the Departmental Committee on Environment and Natural Resources for bringing the results of the Petition in a very short time. I have heard about the recommendations for the affected people around Meru National Park. Even though most of the recommendations make a lot of sense, the one that concerns people living 50 to 100 metres away from the boundary of the national park may not be attainable because those are people’s farms. But in a place like Tharaka where the boundary between the national park and the residents of Tharaka is a river then it becomes very difficult The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
