    "content": "(i) That Thwake Bridge was swept away by El-Nino rains which pondered various parts of the country in 2015. As a result of that, economic activities between the two regions have been disrupted since the residents have been compelled to incur high transportation costs by using longer alternative routes. (ii) The Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) undertook to launch a bailey bridge across the two regions. This is the immediate measure the Ministry has done. (iii) The bailey bridge is aimed at supporting the pedestrian movement between Kathiani and Kangundo constituencies as a short measure. Having considered the matters made by the petitioner, the Committee made the following recommendations:- (i) that the bailey bridge be installed as a temporary solution pending investigations which are important to inform the Authority the type of bridge to be constructed in future."
