    "content": "One case we took up with the Departmental Committee on Health is in respect of eye surgery. That equipment is in this country. It is specialised but there are no specialists. The specialists were brought in from another country. Despite the fact that the Committee requested that the specialist who was overseeing this facility takes specialist training, that specialist has not done that. As I speak now, the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board (KMPDU) approved that facility with people who are not specialised and approved by this country. Those people have made many mistakes. The KMPDU has been involved in corrupt deals. If this Bill is passed, we will have another board which will look after the biomedical engineers and not KMPDU which is more interested in just giving people certificates of speciality without looking at their area of specialization.
