    "content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, the PIC is one of the Select Committees established pursuant to Standing Order No.206 and is responsible for the working of public investments. The mandate of the PIC includes:- (i) examining reports on accounts of public investments, that is, parastatals, State corporations and other quasi-government agencies; (ii) examine reports, if any, of the Auditor-General on public investments; and, (iii) examining, in the context of autonomy and efficiency, public investments and determining whether the affairs of the public investments are being managed in accordance with sound business principles and prudent commercial practice."
