    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. First and foremost, I would like to thank you for giving me this opportunity to contribute to this Special Report on Youth Enterprise Development Fund (YEDF). The YEDF was meant to play a critical role in empowering the youth. Secondly, I would like to commend and congratulate the Members of Public Investments Committee (PIC) for a job well done. The Committee has exposed some of the anomalies in our institutions and by so doing, has made us aware of what is ailing our economy. In matters conservation, where I am an expert, when you talk about elephant and rhino conservation, we put them under Annex 1 or Appendix 1. It means that those are very critical species that must be protected under all circumstances. What comes out from this Report is that we should do the same on corruption. Corruption should be given the most important priority that must be tackled in this country, if we have to make any progress on any front. If I was asked, I would put corruption in the first annex of the first appendix. Every member of this country, regardless of the political persuasion, should join hands together to fight it.
