    "content": "Thank you so much, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I will take a very short time considering that we are about to adjourn. Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity. I thank the athletes who made Kenya proud. It is very interesting that some of them went out of the country to get better pay in terms of what they earn from athletics. It is sad. Last weekend, I met one of the ladies who ran for Bahrain. She is from Nandi County. She won a gold medal in the 3,000 metres steeplechase. It is important for us as a country to see how much input we contribute to athletics. It is individual effort that makes most of those athletes succeed and win the gold and silver medals. We must focus as Parliament to find out who let us down, especially the officials who run the Sports Ministry. They really let us down. We must petition Parliament so that we see how to improve in terms of athletics. Let me save time for others."
