"content": "“Despite any other provision in this Constitution, the following rights and fundamental freedoms shall not be limited…” ( c ) The right to a fair trial. Has this team been condemned because it is made up of many people from the minority groups in this country? The Bill of Rights in Article 19(2) states that the purpose of recognising and protecting human rights and fundamental freedoms is to preserve the dignity of individuals and communities and to promote social justice and the realization of the potential of all human beings. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Report has exonerated the IEBC from any wrong doing; both the secretariat and the commissioners. If you go by the Report, on what basis are they recommending their expulsion? Is it because of force from the public? Do you lose your rights in this country because the people have rioted out there? The purpose of this Committee would have been to press for the legalization of the process of expulsion."
