"content": "It is important to note that all the steps given ought to be achieved on or before 30th September, 2016 which is in the next 37 days. Conscious of the importance of these steps, I presented a work plan to the House Business Committee (HBC) for implementation of the recommendations by the Joint Select Committee, on matters relating to IEBC. The proposal is as follows:- (i) Thursday, 25th August 2016, we consider and hopefully conclude the Report of the Joint Select Committee. (ii) Friday, 26th August 2016, with the other leadership, we publish the Election Offences Bill, 2016 and the Election Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2016.
