"content": "We were dismissed. The British Governments Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD) Report declared miraa was not a drug. The House of Commons said that miraa was just a stimulant. What did the British Government do? They proceeded to classify miraa as a drug, which means we could not sell miraa in their country. Some people in the UK do not consume miraa, but the Somali residents and Kenyans who live there consume miraa . But, their interests and those of the Meru people were not taken into account. They classified miraa as a drug. What that meant is that the economy of Meru County was extensively affected by that ban. Have they put any measures in place at least to support the Meru community because of banning"
