We should look at the future and know that Britain is the sixth largest economy after US, China, Japan, German and France. Even after Brexit, I am sure the UK will continue playing a bigger role on the global stage. We have an historical link with Britain and so are many countries in Africa and Asia. That is why English is one of the most widely spoken languages. It would be good for Members to support this Motion. I have listened to the Members who come from areas of Samburu, Laikipia and Nanyuki, where those exercises take place and most of them, if not all, have supported the ratification of this Defence Co-operation Agreement between our Government and that of the UK.
