    "content": "The late Mzee Kenyatta fought for pan-Africanism with Kwame Nkrumah, Kenneth Kaunda and Haile Selassie. They wanted a united Africa. So what? History is now an optional subject. You do not have to study it. You can do anything else, pass and go to university, but what will our children know about pan-Africanism? Nothing. If history is an optional subject, somebody will become a professor, but when you ask him about our history, he will not know anything."
