"content": "This Bill is quite contemporary and one that we need to look into. Even as it aligns itself with the Constitution, it seeks to change the definitions of some of its provisions so as to align them with the current Constitution. For example, under Section 2 of the 2006 Bill, the “Committee” is defined as a State Corporation Advisory Committee. This Bill seeks to remove the agency from the provisions or purview of State corporations. Therefore, it is important to pass the amendment Bill. What it seeks to do is, instead of having a committee going by the name “State Corporation Advisory Committee” we will now have “Witness Protection Complaints Committee”. This is a standby Committee and it is very important because it is the Committee in which a witness will air or give his or her complaints."
