    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, for giving me this chance. I rise to support. I do so with a very valid reason in my own considered opinion because the Senate occupies a very important place in the new dispensation of devolved system of government in our country. When the history of how the success or failure, depending on what really happens of devolution, is written, the Senate will occupy a very huge space. So, it is upon us to make sure that when history is written, we shall occupy a place of pride. This is something that we can all be proud of in years ahead if God would have allowed us to live and see. It is important that we consider that the very reason why we were elected into this House is so that in accordance with Article (96) we may be the custodians of devolution.
