    "content": "Hon. Speaker, I arise pursuant to provisions of Standing Order No.31(1), to seek that the House does now adjourn until 5.00 p.m. Hon. Speaker, this is in line with the earlier Motion passed by this House today. The reason for seeking this adjournment is to allow the House to consider the Report of the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs on the approval and appointment of the Chief Justice of the Republic of Kenya. As the House is aware, the substantive holder of such office is required, by statutory and constitutional principles, to carry some constitutional duties and there are timelines. So, I just want to seek your guidance on this. Thank you."
