    "content": "We have reason to believe that there have been many instances that this clear provision of the letter of the Constitution has been violated. Parliament is commanded to defend the Constitution. So, I would want to believe that going forward with the amendments that we have done, we will observe strict adherence to the written letter of the Constitution particularly with regard to deployment of members of our Defence Forces, to restore peace in any part of Kenya affected by unrest or instability. We have had instances where we have been told that a blanket approval was given for Boni and, therefore, it applies in Pokot. I do not think that is what the Constitution entails. I hope the Chair of the Committee will agree with me that it is our duty. We have no choice. We are commanded by this Constitution to observe strict fidelity to the letter of this Constitution and we have no option."
