    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity to contribute to this Motion. It is very disturbing that since Independence, we are still fighting hunger, diseases and illiteracy. As the founding father of this country coined it, we have three enemies; hunger, disease and illiteracy. 50 years down the line, we are still fighting the “three animals”. Probably we have improved in illiteracy but hunger and diseases are still biting this country. I think this is something which as Kenyans, we must rise up and try to solve. Roughly 80 per cent of this country’s land mass is ASALs."
