I beg to move the following Motion:- THAT, pursuant to the provisions of Article 166(1)(a) of the Constitution, and Section 8 (1) of the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) Act, 2011, this House adopts the Report of the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs on the Vetting of the Nominee for Appointment as the Deputy Chief Justice of the Republic of Kenya, laid on the Table of the House on Wednesday, 26th October, 2016, and approves the appointment of the Honourable Lady Justice Philomena Mbete Mwilu, as the Deputy Chief Justice of the Republic of Kenya."
