    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady. Let me also add my voice in supporting these amendments. They will go a long way in improving the Pyrethrum Act, No. 22 of 2013. What is very interesting is the inclusion of the CoG. You will realise that the way the CoG is structured has sub-committees which take care of specific devolved functions. Agriculture being one of the devolved functions, it will be important that a member of the CoG sits in this important committee. Other issues which are also important are issue of gender representation, the one-third representation and regional and ethnic diversity. As you get the board, you need to consider that. The only thing we need to note, even as you consider regional and ethnic diversity of this country, is that it might not be possible to cater for all of them in one board. So, this should be a key principle in appointing all boards so that as you move from one board to the other there is national representation and the face of Kenya is seen in the membership of these boards.
