Speaker, I beg to give notice of the following Motion:- THAT, pursuant to the provisions of Article 166(1)(a) of the Constitution and Section 8(1)(i) of the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) Act, 2011 and Standing Order No.216(5)(f), this House adopts the Report of the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs laid on the Table of the House on Wednesday, 26th October, 2016, and approves the appointment of Hon. Lady Justice Philomena Mbete Mwilu as the Deputy Chief Justice of the Republic of Kenya. Thank you."
